GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

Effective Date: June 1, 2025

These Gift Card Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to the purchase, use, and acceptance of Umeken Gift Cards ("Gift Cards") issued by Umeken USA Inc., a California Corporation ("Umeken," "we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, accepting, or using a Gift Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at www.umeken.com

1. Where to Purchase

Umeken Gift Cards can be purchased directly from the following official channels:

  • Online at www.umeken.com
  • In-person at authorized Umeken corporate retail stores
  • By phone through our Call Center at 1-888-941-3311

Only Gift Cards purchased through these official channels are valid and protected by these Terms.

2. Redemption & Eligible Use

Gift Cards may be redeemed only for goods and services offered directly by Umeken:

  • At www.umeken.com
  • At participating Umeken corporate store locations in the United States
  • Through Umeken’s official Call Center at 1-888-941-3311

Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards and are not valid at unauthorized resellers or third-party websites.

3. Gift Card Types

Umeken offers two types of Gift Cards:

  • Physical Gift Cards: Plastic cards issued at corporate stores, by phone, or shipped after online purchase
  • Digital (eGift) Cards: Electronic cards delivered via email when purchased online or through our Call Center

Both Physical and Digital Gift Cards are subject to the same terms and conditions.

4. Value, Increments & Limits
  • Minimum Initial Load Balance: $10
  • Maximum load, reload and total balance: $1,000.
  • Load Increments: Gift Cards may only be loaded or reloaded in $5 increments
5. Expiration, Fees & Validity
  • No Expiration: Gift Cards do not expire
  • No Fees: No maintenance, dormancy, or service fees apply
6. Returns & Refunds
  • All Sales Final: Gift Card purchases are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Merchandise purchased using a Gift Card that is returned will be refunded via a new Gift Card or store credit, in accordance with Umeken’s Return Policy
7. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards
  • Treat Gift Cards like cash; Umeken is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards
  • A card may only be replaced with original proof of purchase and the full card number, and only at Umeken’s discretion
8. Limitations & Restrictions
  • Gift Cards are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash, except as required by applicable law
  • California Residents: In accordance with California Civil Code, if your Gift Card balance is less than $10, you may request to redeem it for cash.
  • Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards
  • Gift Cards cannot be resold, transferred for value, or used for unauthorized marketing, sweepstakes, or promotional activities without written consent from Umeken
  • Umeken reserves the right to decline, deactivate, or cancel any Gift Card if fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use is suspected
9. Rewards Points & Gift Card Purchases
  • Purchases of Umeken Gift Cards do not qualify for earning myUmeken reward points or any other promotional or loyalty program benefits, unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific promotion.

However, when a Gift Card is used as payment for eligible merchandise or services, the recipient may earn reward points on that merchandise purchase, subject to the terms of the myUmeken rewards program.

10. Balance Inquiries

You can check the balance of your Gift Card in the following ways:

  • Online at: www.umeken.com/giftcard
  • By calling our Call Center at 1-888-941-3311
  • By visiting a participating Umeken corporate store location
11. Fraud Protection & Unauthorized Use
  • Suspicious transactions may be delayed or declined
  • We may deactivate Gift Cards that are associated with fraud, unauthorized use, or that were acquired in violation of these Terms
12. Limitation of Liability

Umeken and its affiliates make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the Gift Cards, including, without limitation, any express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In the event that a Gift Card is non-functional, your sole remedy and the sole liability of Umeken and its affiliates shall be the replacement of the Gift Card. Limitations on Liability: Under no circumstances shall Umeken or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, even if Umeken has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

State-Specific Laws: Certain state laws do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above disclaimers, exclusions, or limitations may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Amendments

We may update or change these Terms at any time without notice. Changes will be posted at www.umeken.com/giftcard. Continued use of the Gift Card signifies your acceptance of those changes.

16. Privacy

Your use of Umeken Gift Cards is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By purchasing or using a Gift Card, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
